Allora,
Ciao ciao.
Luca

Ecco la risposta:

Hi Luca,

Thanks for contacting us. GIS Cloud runs on open source i.e. Linux (Debian),
Apache, PHP, PostgreSQL, etc.

The only proprietary and closed technology is our vector rendering engine
which consists of Flash frontend and C/C++ backend. Generally we support
open source and parts of our system that we built are open source like
Omnigrid. We keep our mapping engine closed because it is currently more
advanced even than solutions from ESRI, Google and other commercial
providers so we protect our IP rights and uniqueness mainly from them.

Thanks for trying out GIS Cloud and I look forward to your feedback.

Best regards,

Dino Ravnic
