Dear Local Chapter contacts,

After talking to a few people, I started to wonder if there was
general need for a few more web-based tools for helping start, run
and maintain OSGeo groups. I started thinking about simple things,
such as running polls, elections or surveys - but realised that maybe
blogging software, document management and other discussion/
information sharing tools might be helpful. I'm also trying to think
of more ways for the communities to keep in touch in a less formal
way than the main website provides.

>From your perspective, would local chapters benefit from some of the
tools mentioned on this brainstorming page?

http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Community_Site

If so, I welcome your feedback on the page and/or your name added to
the list at the bottom. It will help me to know whether to follow up
on this proposal more formally on benefit of local chapters.

Best wishes,
Tyler
