[Gfoss] L'anello mancante

Tento di fare un discorso di buon senso.
1) Il plugin utilizza Interfacce ed API pubbliche ampliamente documentate da
Google. Niente trucchetti o hacks.
2) I servizi di Google Maps non sono Creative Commons ma non sono neanche
evil. Sono soggetti ad una licenza d'uso abbastanza chiara.  Leggi.

limiti di utilizzo.  Leggi.

3) In questa https://developers.google.com/maps/licensing sono comparate le
licenze Free e le licenze Commerciali offerte da Google.

Dalla lettura veloce di questi documenti mi pare che (non sono avvocato e
quindi aiutatemi a capire meglio)
a) Il sito o l'applicazione può richiedere fino a 25000 richieste statiche
giornalieri (credo si intenda l'immagine richiesta ogni volta che si sposta
il punto di vista) per più di 90 giorni consecutivi. dopodichè il servizio
comincierà a dare un'alert di superamento della capacità della licenza Free.
b) Il servizio può essere incluso liberamente in servizi web gratuiti e
pubblici (intendono l'immagine richiesta tramite webservice o api)
c) Non si possono riutilizzare le immagini scaricate per reinserirle
staticamente in siti web (serebbe una violazione del punto a)
d) Si possono stampare fino a 5000 copie dell'immagini in documenti "free of
charge". vedi punto 10.1.2.b dei  Terms of service

e) Con riferimento al logo di google:
/(i) display a Google Brand Feature in any manner that implies a
relationship or affiliation with, sponsorship, or endorsement by Google,
other than your use of the Service, or that can be reasonably interpreted to
suggest editorial content has been authored by, or represents the views or
opinions of, Google or Google personnel;
(ii) display a Google Brand Feature in your Maps API Implementation or on
your site if your Maps API Implementation or site contains or displays adult
content or promotes illegal activities, gambling, or the sale of tobacco or
alcohol to persons under 21 years of age;
(iii) have the Google logo as the largest logo in your Maps API
Implementation or on your website (except as displayed in the map image
itself);
(iv) display a Google Brand Feature as the most prominent element in your
Maps API Implementation on any page of your website;
(v) display a Google Brand Feature in a manner that is misleading,
defamatory, infringing, libelous, disparaging, obscene or otherwise
objectionable to Google;
(vi) use Google Brand Features to disparage Google, its products, or the
Google Services;
(vii) display a Google Brand Feature in your Maps API Implementation or on a
site that violates any law or regulation; or
(viii) remove, distort or alter any element of a Google Brand Feature (this
includes squeezing, stretching, inverting, discoloring, etc.)./
ovvero si desidera che riutilizzando le immagini fornite si deve sempre
riportare il logo di provenienza e specificare i termini di copyright...
