Open Source Hands-on GIS workshop for Disaster management using QGIS

Dear Friends, 

On behalf of the 5th International Conference on Geoinformation Technology
for Natural Disaster Management (GiT4NDM) committee, I would like to invite
you to participate in the 5th International Conference on GiT4NDM. The
Waterloo Institute for Disaster Management (WIDM) in Canada jointly with
Dewey College are excited to be hosting at this event on October 9th-11th,
2013 at the Dewey College; 5889 Coopers Ave., Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z 1P9,
Canada (http://www.igrdg.com/5thGiT4NDM.php).
In addition, there will be an exhibition beside the 5th GiT4NDM 2013. The
exhibition will provide a showcase for the state-of-the-art geo-information
and communication technology products and services. Interested sectors of
the geospatial data providers and economy should cease the opportunity to
showcasing their products and solutions. Please see the attached brochure
for 5th GiT4NDM 2013. In addition, we have a pre-conference workshop on Open
Source Hands-on GIS
workshop for Disaster management using QGIS and GRASS on October 8, 2013 by
Prof. Scott Madry from the University of North Carolina, USA.

Conference attendees include; directors, professors, researchers,
scientists, engineers, students and other professionals from various
countries. The conference will be addressed by prominent speakers of the
geo-informatics technology and disaster management who will engage through
their interactive session to bring innovative geomatics technology, new
generation of the Earth observation system for disaster management, latest
development approaches on early warning system and other related issues. ?In
our quest to invite people from various countries around the world, we went
in search of professionals on the Google website as a means of contacting
people and organizations. So if you know you are interested to participate
as i) an individual or ii) would like to represent your country or
organization, iii) or presenting your paper as an oral or poster
presentation, iv) or would like to sponsor the event as a means of
supporting knowledge-building and
knowledge sharing and v) or booking a booth to represent your organization
in the joint aforementioned exhibition, you may please contact the
conference organizing secretary general for details and information
regarding registration for the event. 

After you have been fully registered for the conference, you will be
assisted with your trip, accommodation and visa processing for the period of
stay in Canada. If you are a holder of passport that may require visa to
enter into Canada, you may inform the conference secretariat at the time of
registration, as the organizing committee is responsible for issuance an
invitation letter to you and inform the High Commission of Canada in your
