IES−300806 − EC Water knowledge management system for developing countries
The ideal candidate should have sound software
development knowledge and experiences. Familiar
with the development of tools based on GIS Open
Sources is desirable. He/she should have PhD in GIS
and/or Water in developing countries OR a university
degree in computer science or geography or
environment or physics and 5 years relevant
experience in GIS tool development.

Post−Doctoral Researcher Position, JRC, Ispra, Italy
IES-300839 - Geo-spatial data standardisation and modeling
The grantholder will advance research on
interoperability of spatial data and spatial data
services. These research activities will have a direct
link to the INSPIRE data specifications development,
facilitating the work of the INSPIRE thematic
Working Groups and Drafting Teams. He/she will
also contribute to develop and test INSPIRE data
specifications in the context of projects and
Interoperability Pilots.
The ideal candidate has a PhD degree in computer
science, geographic information science or related
discipline (or a university degree in the mentioned
fields and 5 years relevant research experience).
He/she has at least 3 years experience with spatial
data modelling and data interoperability. Working
experience on UML and UML tools is required.
Experience with spatial schema translation tools and
data exchange protocols is an asset.
