buongiorno a tutti - reinoltro per chi non legge la lista OSGEO,
aggiungendo alcune note

A) come potete vedere sotto [traduco alla spicciola caso mai voleste
girare la richiesta  di cui al punto B], OSGEO ....

A1.).... ha sviluppato un software per gestire l'installazione
automatica su Windows (R) di

-GDAL
-MapServer
-uDig.

A2) ...ha idee per realizzare il pacchetto autoinstallante per
WinGRASS, ma hanno bisogno di una mano per realizzarle

A3)... inoltre cerca supporto per creare i package autoinstallanti per
Windows (R) di

-QGIS
-OSSIM,
-MapGuide
-gvSig
-GeoNetwork.

B) Data l'esperienza collettiva con i vari pacchetti...

B1) ...Invito chi si trova a lavorare (anche) con Windows (R) a
sperimentare l'installer

B2) invito i più esperti a considerare se possano dare una mano sui
punti A2 e A3...

Invito gli interessati a rispondere

Se vediamo che nella comunità italiana c'è interesse e possibilità di
rispondere anche su una solo delle richieste sopra, penso che
l'attività che potremo realizzare sarà apprezzata.

Folks,

For several months several of us have been working on a standard installer
for a variety of OSGeo4W packages on MS-Windows.  The result of that is
OSGeo4W.

It is an installer that understands package dependency, supports upgrading
individual components in place, and is network based (only downloading the
packages that are needed).

OSGeo4W is loosely intended to supercede efforts like MS4W, and FWTools.

We are seeking windows software users willing to try out OSGeo4W, and provide
feedback.

We are also looking for software developers and packagers interested in
helping with packaging.  Currently we have good support for GDAL, MapServer,
uDig.  We have a proof-of-concept WinGRASS package, but it needs love. We
would appreciate packagers for additional packages, including QGIS, OSSIM,
MapGuide, gvSig, and GeoNetwork.
