(scusate cross-posting)

E' appena arrivata una mail di Roger Longhorn (su EGIP mailing
list<http://www.ec-gis.org/egip/>
).
Indica un documento interessante, pubblicato dalla Association for
Geographic Information <http://www.agi.org.uk/> (UK)
http://www.agi.org.uk/SITE/UPLOAD/DOCUMENT/policy/inspire_intro.pdf

E' un riassunto della Direttiva
INSPIRE<http://eur-lex.europa.eu/JOHtml.do?uri=OJ:L:2007:108:SOM:IT:HTML>,
in parte simile a
quella<http://www.freegis-italia.org/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=38&Itemid=65>messa
a disposizione su FreeGIS-Italia.
Fa riflettere il paragrafo "What is AGI doing?" (pag. 4):

AGI has already run a large event outlining the INSPIRE directive and
following that has established an cross-sector INSPIRE Working Group
to represent
and inform UK users of spatial information and to participate in INSPIRE
feedback exercises and liase with Government in the ongoing adoption of the
Directive. This includes ongoing collaboration with DEFRA as the UK lead on
INSPIRE.
Further events will be held to explain developments to members. Until a new
UK geo-spatial metadata service is set up, AGI will continue to operate the
GIgateway service under contract to Government, providing details of public
sector datasets. AGI will continue its work as an INSPIRE Spatial Data
Interest Community (SDIC) responding to INSPIRE consultations on behalf of
AGI members and the Working Group. Some members of the Working Group are
themselves members of SDICs and they will additionally continue their
independent responses on behalf of their own organisations.

Sarebbe bello fare qualcosa di analogo anche in Italia ... no?
(solo il gruppo "SIT" del CNIPA aveva tentato di far qualcosa, l'anno scorso
... ma la cosa purtroppo naufragò)
