Ciao Eugenio,
quello che stai facendo ha molto piu' a che fare con la configurazione
di postgres che non con postgis e il gis in generale.
Prova a iscriverti alla mailing list di postgres, li' troverai
sicuramente consigli utili e da persone molto competenti.
