Sto cercando di "attaccare" alla stessa tabella postgis più file SHP.

Mi è stato detto di fare in questo modo :

shp2pgsql -a file_da_attacare.shp nome_tabella_postgis

Il comando viene riconosciuto ed eseguito ma quando vado a visualizzare la tabella, il nuovo 
shp non si visualizza.


Il mio dubbio è come fare a specificare il database in cui si trova la tabella.

Visto che il comando è stato eseguito senza errori ho pensato che riconoscesse 
automaticamente la tabella. E' giusto?

Cosa bisogna fare per passare anche il database di riferimento, eventualmente ?

PS : sto lavorando su Windows 2000 P
