Grazie per l'interessamento, e' raro trovare qualcuno
all'interno delle istituzioni che prenda a cuore la liberta'
dei dati.

Ho aggiunto Thomas in Cc, collabora con Creative Commons Italia,
potrebbe dare una mano a scegliere una licenza adatta.

Un aspetto sul quale abbiamo discusso in passato e' stata
l'identificazione del "sorgente" dei dati. Una caratteristica
importante della GPL e' l'obbligo di dare accesso ai 'sorgenti'
dei programmi ai destinatari di una distribuzione.

Nel caso dei dati geografici quale e' il 'sorgente' ?
Per definizione il "sorgente" e' il formato piu' adatto
ad apportare modifiche all' "oggetto". E' interessante
applicare questa definizioni al dato specifico che si vuole
pubblicare. 

Non mi sembra di trovare indicazioni riguardo i "sorgenti"
nella PGL, mentre mi piacerebbe che la questione venisse
trattata da una licenza sui dati geografici.

Nel tuo caso specifico di che dati si tratta ?
Puoi identificare un formato "sorgente" ?

Riguardo al materiale c'e' una versione del manifesto sulla
liberta' di accesso ai dati cartografici raccolti dallo stato:
