...una piccola precisione: si puo usare GDAL con ECW,
ma per scopi commerciali si paga la licenza (=uso non-free). Ma non
si puo distribuire semplicemente una versione GDAL con ECW integrato.

Allora, per i nostri scopi non funziona, peccato!
